Tubal Reversal

Women who have had their fallopian tubes tied as a form of birth control may sometimes wish to reverse the procedure.  Tubal reversal is a highly successful procedure which involves removing the damaged portion of the fallopian tube and re-connecting  the tubes.  Surgical reversal of a previous tubal ligation is one of the most effective reconstructive surgeries available, although success rates are dependent on additional factors including age and the tubal ligation method.  For some patients, IVF may be a better alternative to tubal reversal.  Your physician can help you determine which option is best for your situation.
